Dr. Jamaludin bin Zainol graduated in University Malaya in 1984 with MBBS. He first did his Housemanship in Kuala Lumpur General Hospital in 1984. A year later, he was transferred to Kubang Kerian University Hospital and ever since then had been involved in the surgery covering various disciplines as medical officer, trainee, lecturer, registrar, specialist and consultant. Those various positions held include those within the country and abroad.

In 1996, he was awarded in Master of Medicine Surgery with distinction ‘A’. Among the hospitals that he had served were Kubang Kerian University Hospital, General Hospital Kuala Lumpur, The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Hospital Oswestry, England, The Queen’s Medical Centre Nottingham, England, The Kings Mill Hospital Mansfield, England.

His overall experiences are not only in the Management of Surgical patients but also in the Management of Acute Medical Emergencies as he has vast experiences serving in Accident and Emergency Cases in the UK. In surgery, apart from the General Surgery work, he has also received extensive training and practice in Urology. 

To add to the general training and practice, other areas of specialized surgical field trained and practiced over 12 years include Neurosurgery, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (had completed thesis in Burn Management) Gastrointestinal Surgery, Orthopaedics Surgery, Cardiothoracic, Accident & Emergency, Paediatric Surgery, Endocrine Surgery, Hepato-biliary and Minimal Invasive Surgery, Vascular Surgery and Urology.
